About

Games, design and software, used together

Alsatian Games started where videogames, software engineering and game design meet. Instead of keeping those disciplines apart, the studio uses them together: we build our own projects, analyse how interactive experiences work, and write the technology needed to support them.

01What we do

Four areas, one loop

  1. 01

    Create

Our own games, prototypes and level design experiments.

  2. 02

    Analyze

Playtesting and design reviews for other developers.

  3. 03

    Build

Software for our projects, and for other people’s.

  4. 04

    Connect

Communities like TotalRematch, where games get played.

Making games teaches us design. Design helps us review other games. Software lets us build around them. Communities give us a real place to test it all, and that feeds the next game.

02Who is behind it

Alsatian Games was founded by Alejandro Casino, known online as Taliex. He is a Computer Engineering graduate with a Master’s Degree in Video Game Programming and Design.

That mix shapes the studio: game design thinking to understand players, and engineering to build what the projects need, from Unreal Engine prototypes to web platforms.

Unreal Engine 5, Blueprints, C++, gameplay AI, level design
Software
Python, C#, .NET, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Astro
Data
SQL, MongoDB, Firestore
Web & infrastructure

03How we work

What we care about

  • Show, don’t claim

We would rather show a project, a real analysis or a running tool than describe ourselves with adjectives.

  • Small on purpose

An independent studio, not an agency pretending to be big. You talk to the person doing the work.

  • Build real things

Everything we offer, we have done for our own projects first.

  • Clear over clever

In games and in software: the player or user should always understand what is going on.

Let’s build or improve something

A game that needs fresh eyes, or a tool that needs building. Tell us about it.
